Homemade Taco Seasoning

Stop buying those convenient little packages of taco seasonings! They are expensive and have gross things in them like MSG. Make your own. It is way tastier, cheaper, healthier, and you probably have everything you need right there in your spice cabinet! Have I convinced you yet? I hope so.

1 tablespoon of Sea Salt
1 tablespoon of Black Pepper
3 tablespoons of Chili Powder
2 tablespoons of Cumin
2 teaspoons of Paprika
1 teaspoon of Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon of Onion Powder
1 teaspoon of Red Pepper Flakes
1/2 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper

Mix all of the spices together and store in an air-tight container.

  1. How much seasoning do you use per pound of meat?

  2. It is all personal preference. One package of taco seasoning is 4 tablespoons, so that is what I would recommend!
